British Airways launches new route to Kefalonia

This week, British Airways (BA/BAW) announced they will be starting a new route to Kefalonia direct from the flag carriers base London Heathrow. The service is expected to start May 15th 2018 and through to October 6th 2018.

The flight will depart from London Heathrow Terminal 5 twice on a Tuesday and twice on a Saturday. All flights will be operated by British Airways workhorse, the Airbus A320. Britsh Airways say the prices will start from £118 in “Euro Traveller” and £398 in “Club Europe”.

British Airways‘ Chairman and Chief Executive Alex Cruz said  “We’re always developing our leisure offering from Heathrow so are incredibly pleased to be adding Kefalonia to our network. The launch of our new summer routes, which also include Figari in Corsica and Almeria, mean we will be flying 39 more routes in 2018 than we did in 2016 – an increase of 17 per cent. We’re also further improving our schedules and increasing the number of flights to European destinations such as Ibiza, Santorini and Split.”.
