British Airways (BA/BAW) is launching its latest winter sun campaign for flights and holidays from London Gatwick (LGW/EGKK) to destinations which include the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico and the Canary Islands.
The campaign features model Amber Anderson who said: “When the skies take a wintry turn and the days are shorter in the UK, there’s nothing I love more than jetting off somewhere to replenish my Vitamin D levels and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. The Caribbean is one of my favourite destinations. I’ve always loved St Barts and Barbados, and I’m so happy to hear from the locals, who are so hospitable, that the region is back on its feet and welcoming visitors.”
British Airways offers flights from London Gatwick to a number of winter sun destinations all around the world including 32 flights to the Caribbean each week, 16 to Florida, 14 to the Canary Islands and three to Mexico.
The seasonal programme from London Gatwick also includes flights to the Maldives, which run through the winter until March.
Sean Doyle, British Airways’ director of networks and alliances, said: “With the clocks having gone back and the cold setting in, this is the perfect time of year to get away and soak up some winter sun. Our route network allows us to offer flights to lots of sunny destinations, from the warm seas of the Caribbean to the beautiful beaches of the Canary Islands. And with our latest flights and holiday packages, we’re hoping that even more people will be able to relax on the beach or swim in the ocean over the coming months.”
For those seeking snow rather than sun then British Airways has launched a brand new flight from Heathrow to Turin from November 26, a city which is only a 90-minute drive from top Italian ski resorts such as Courmayeur. They are also offering new seasonal flights from Manchester to Chambery and Salzberg which run until April 2018.
