British Airways and Heathrow staff will celebrate Freddie For A Day on his birthday

British Airways and Heathrow Baggage Handlers marked Freddie Mercury’s birthday in style today with a special performance of Queens hit “I want to break free”, complete with Hi-Vis Freddie jackets!

Back in the days when he was known as Farrokh Bulsara, Freddie spent some time as a baggage Handler at Heathrow before joining Queen in 1970.

To pay tribute to the legend, baggage handlers have teamed up with Strictly Come Dancing choreographer to bring Freddie Mercury moves to Terminal 5
