India’s flag carrier, Air India has unveiled its new look as it seeks to rebrand the airline with a bold modern look.
The airline says that “new design captures the essence of a bold new India, marking a milestone in the transformation of the national Indian institution into a national Indian and global inspiration.”
Its design is “chakra” inspired, something that is rooted into the indian culture and features deep red, aubergine and gold.
The new logo is known as “Vista” and is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame which signifies limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future.
Campbell Wilson, Air India CEO & MD, said: “Our transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world class airline serving guests from around the globe, and that represents a new India proudly on the global stage.
“The new Air India is bold, confident, and vibrant, but also warm and deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions that make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for standards in service.”
The rebrand was carried out by brand transformation specialist FutureBrand amd will start to be seen from December 2023.
