Aer Lingus to launch Dublin to Las Vegas flights

Aer Lingus (EI/EIN) has announced it is launching flights to Las Vegas, USA from its hub at Dublin Airport (DUB/EIDW) from October this year.

The route will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using an Airbus A330-300 airliner, the largest aircraft in Aer Lingus’ fleet.

Launching on Friday 25th October means it will be available for the late half-term holidays for those looking for a Winter sun getaway to the USA.

Passengers using the new service can also take advantage of pre-clearing US customs in Dublin, avoiding lengthy queues on arrival.

“Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to customers seeking an escape to the winter sun.” said Lynne Embleton, Aer Lingus Chief Officer.

“In addition to the warm climate, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events and natural wonders. It is a long-held ambition of ours to fly to Las Vegas. The launch of this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers.”

Being the gateway to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas offers so much more than the bright lights and casinos on the strip.

“On behalf of all of Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus to Las Vegas for the very first time,” said Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

“In 2023, our city welcomed more than 52,000 visitors from Ireland, and this direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers and visitors throughout the UK and Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer. We congratulate Aer Lingus on this expansion and look forward to a very successful partnership.”

Passengers across the UK can connect to Aer Lingus’ transatlantic network from the regional airports and with the ability to pre-clear customs, it can be a more attractive option than using London.

Flight times have been set to allow for seamless connection from Aer Lingus’ regional network.

The outbound flights, EI50 will leave Dublin at 1520 arriving at Las Vegas at 1750.

The return flight, EI51 will leave Las Vegas at 1930 arriving into Dublin at 1320 the next day.

All times are local.
