Manchester Airport is playing host to a special employment event today (3rd October) for former Thomas Cook staff where 5,000 roles are on offer.
Manchester was one of the biggest areas hit by the collapse of the travel firm which hit not only employees but the Thomas Cooks’s supply chain.
Amongst the airlines recruiting at the event are British Airways, Jet2 and TUI.
Other employers include hotel brands such as Hilton and Mercure.
As well as recruitment, services such as CV overhauls and financial advice will also be available.
Free transport is also being provided for the event which is being held at the Runway Visitor Park at Manchester Airport.
